Why travel abroad when you can bring the world home?

The International Hospitality Center is searching for volunteer host families to welcome highly academically-motivated exchange students to O'ahu and neighbor islands for the Academic Semester and Year. Students are on full U.S. Congressional scholarships (Future Leaders Exchange (FLEX) and the Youth Exchange and Study (YES) programs).

The ideal host family is flexible and interested in sharing American culture while learning about someone else's. Hosts offer room, board, and involvement in family activities. Students attend high school in the area.

Please let us know as soon as possible whether you - or someone you know - is interested in hosting a student arriving in August. We are also placing students in welcome host families for the first few months of a student's stay.

We have a brief Orientation Session which each family must attend, as well as required reading material concerning hosting International Students.
