Volunteer Opportunity Details:
| Last updated on May 29, 2010 |
If you like to walk, and crave an experience vastly more rewarding than trying to dodge traffic and hard concrete sidewalks, reroute your daily hike to the Arboretum, and help remove dropped palm fronds and leafy debris from the trails. Make it a brisk walk or a leisurely one; it's up to you. All we ask is that you stop to clear small debris to make the trail safer for the next visitor.
Trail sweepers will have a brief training session to familiarize them with the Arboretum and the Arboretum plants and trails. Volunteers should be comfortable hiking the Arboretum trails and be able to lift 25 lbs.
