Mentoring is fun! Being a Big Brother or Big Sister is one of the most rewarding and enjoyable things you can do. Through mentoring, you can make a lifelong, positive impact on a child who needs a friend, role model, or someone to simply be there to listen. In the Community-Based Program, Bigs and Littles spend time doing activities they enjoy in the community - like going to the beach, shooting hoops, or getting ice cream - typically twice a month for 2 to 4 hours at a time. The School-Based Program provides a structured curriculum where Bigs and Littles meet with other pairs in a classroom setting after school once a week. Curriculum include educational and recreational activities - even music and art!
School-Based volunteers can be high school students or adults, while Community-Based volunteers must be 18 or older. Contact us today for an application and to set up an interview! This opportunity is sponsored by: Big Brothers Big Sisters of Honolulu
