Plans and coordinates Discovery Garden and Lo’i project with activities, events and lessons designed to promote social connections, emotional health, physical, and intellectual growth, and knowledge of positive parenting and interaction between families with young children (prenatal to 4 years-old, service learning and group volunteer groups.

To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies : Planning & problem-solving; Child and family interaction strategies and/or experience; Oral & written Communication and group presentation skills;Teamwork;Diversity & Ethics - Shows respect and sensitivity for cultural differences;Ability to work within a context that utilizes Native Hawaiian values.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch; talk or hear and taste or smell. The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 35 pounds.
