Lyon Arboretum is looking for volunteers to help with regular maintenance of our small focus gardens in the lower grounds; the courtyard garden, and the herb and spice garden. Volunteers will work side by side with Lyon staff doing light weeding, pruning and occasional planting to help invigorate these special collections. We are forming a small hui of active volunteers who can work Wednesday mornings from 9 to 11:30.

Lyon staff will provide training.

Directions:

Take the University Ave. exit on H1. Drive mauka (towards the mountains), pass the University and continue up the valley. At the Intersection of Oahu Ave.,and University Ave, take Oahu Ave. (middle fork) and continue up the valley. At the 5 way intersection (Lowry Ave, Oahu Ave. Manoa Rd.) take Manoa Road. Continue driving mauka past Paradise Park. The Arboretum driveway is at the Manoa Falls trailhead. Parking for Arboretum visitors is at the top of the driveway.   Nearest Bus Stop: Nipo Street , 20 minute walk
