Bristol Hospice needs volunteers to assist us with patient & family support services to individuals in their homes or nursing facilities. Volunteers are an integral part of the hospice mission. Our small staff is very supportive and dedicated to our hospice mission. Volunteering can take many forms. Patient & family support volunteers provide patient care, respite, chores, errands, and emotional support. Quilters can provide quilts for our patients. Music and animal lovers can provide music or pet therapy. Alternative volunteers can provide Healing Touch, Reiki, Reflexology or Massage Therapy. Whatever your special skill is, we can work together to make your experience as a hospice volunteer special! Come and join the Bristol Hospice Ohana! Flexible hours and a warm supportive environment is what makes Bristol Hospice Hawaii special. Free volunteer training in caring for the hospice patient provided on Friday, February 1 and Saturday February 2. Volunteers should have a supportive and caring nature. Excellent opportunity for students or adults looking to explore careers in the hospice field (nursing, nurse aide, social work, chaplaincy) At this time we are limited to adult volunteers.
