The Fleet and Family Support Center's mission is to assist commands in achieving operational readiness, superior performance, member retention and quality of life for Navy, Marine Corps and Coast Guard personnel, family members and retirees.
Description:
The Fleet and Family Support Center's goal is to maintain healthy individuals, strengthen families, prevent individual and family dysfunction, and facilitate overall self-sufficiency and personal, family and community wellness. (SECNAVINST 1754.1A, Feb 99). The Fleet and Family Support Center is a social service agency with the U.S. Navy and provides service members and their family members with: Deployment Support and Readiness, Crisis Response, Career Support and Retention.
History:
The Fleet and Family Support Centers have been a part of the U.S. Navy organization since 1981.
