The vision of the Affordable Housing and Homeless Alliance (Alliance)is that everyone in Hawaii will have affordable housing where they can live with dignity. Our mission is to work towards promoting housing which is decent, affordable and appropriate.

Description:
Homeless Resource Center Program

We work in partnership with agencies as well as with community volunteers. The Homeless Resource Centers are daytime resource centers for those experiencing homelessness. The centers are staffed with a site coordinator, service providers as well as community volunteers.

If you are interested in volunteering, we would welcome the opportunity to work with you to match your skills with the need of our programs; such areas would include E.S.L., job mentoring, resume building and more.

History:
The Alliance has been in existence since 1985, advocating for individuals and families who are homeless and/or low income. The Alliance has been a strong force in regards to advocacy and has been a lead agency in educating policy makers in regards to fair housing issues. The membership provided by the Alliance enables providers, community members and policy makers to come together to work towards improving our communities.
