Honolulu Community Action Program, Inc. is committed to providing opportunities and inspiration to low-income families and individuals. It is our goal to move low-income families and individuals to a point of self sufficiency through education, advocacy, and direct support.

Family Promise of Hawaii (FPH) partners with 37 faith-based organizations to provide shelter, meals, and a loving environment for homeless families with children to help them attain self-sufficiency.

The Windward Homeless Coalition, (WHC)is an organization comprised of service providers that is committed to ending homelessness in Windward Oahu.

Description:
Honolulu Community Action Program, Inc.,(HCAP), a non-profit, human services agency, is dedicated to serving the low-income population of Oahu. HCAP is committed to the belief and philosophy that no individual should be denied the opportunity to share and contribute fully to the best of his/her ability in promoting the economic well being and prosperity of our society.

Family Promise of Hawaii provides 24 hour assistance to homeless families with children. We help stabilize homeless families and provide intensive case management to help them meet their housing and work goals. Most families served by Family Promise of Hawaii secure long-term housing within four months and do not return to homelessness.

The Windward Homeless Coalition was formed by service providers concerned about the increase of homelessness on Windward Oahu. The Windward Homeless Coalition provides referrals, direct services, and advocates for our island's homeless population.

History:
Honolulu Community Action Program, Inc.,(HCAP) has been serving low-income individuals and families since 1965. As a consecutive awardee of the Community Services Block Grant, HCAP's mission is to help low-income families and individuals on Oahu. HCAP provides and oversees nearly fifty programs to assist low-income families on Oahu. HCAP services include case management, referrals for service, bus passes, emergency food, job referrals, and housing referrals.

Family Promise of Hawaii started serving families in March 2006 and currently partners with 37 congregations in Windward Oahu and Honolulu.
