The Pacific Aviation Museum-Pearl Harbor mission is to develop and maintain an internationally recognized aviation museum on historic Ford Island that educates young and old alike; honors aviators and their support personnel who defended freedom in the Pacific Region and preserves Pacific aviation history.

Description:
PAM is a nonprofit, educational museum that collects, preserves and interprets history and artifacts relative to World War II history in the Pacific region. The museum is located on historic Ford Island, in an original WWII NAVY Hangar; the perfect setting for the museum's collection of classic and rare WWII American and Japanese airplanes. Flight simulators, educational videos along with informative and entertaining docents bring to life the sights, sound and experiences of Oahu during the first days of WWII.

History:
The Pacific Aviation Museum - Pearl Harbor (PAM) is a non-profit, tax-exempt IRS 501(c)3 organization established in 1999. A significant collection of original, historic aircraft are on display including (2) Japanese Zeros fighter, a Navy Wildcat fighter and an Army Air Corps B-25 Mitchell bomber from WWII, Stearman, F-14, F-15, and Vietnam era helicopters.

Be a part of history
I love volunteering at the aviation museum. Its one thing to read about history and another to hear about it straight from the source. Alot of the visitors we get are veterans and its so nice to hear their personal accounts for what they've done for our country. Training was very simple and pressure free. The best thing I like about volunteering there is the minimal committment. There's no need to commit to volunteering certain days or hours. Whenever I have a spare hour or two, I head on down there and theres always smiling faces welcoming me back.
