The Hawaii Children's Discovery Center is a private non-profit organization that provides a world-class, interactive, participatory learning environment designed to inspire the young and young-at-heart to new heights of learning and discovery.

History:
The Hawaii Children's Discovery Center, formerly known as the hawaii Children's Museum, opened its doors in 1998. Since then, thousands of families have enjoyed the Center, which is seven times larger than the former site at Dole Cannery Square. Fronted by 30 acres of park and the Pacific Ocean, the Children's Discovery Center is the first facility to open as part of the Kakaako Waterfront Redevelopment master plan.
