Life Foundation's mission is to STOP the spread of HIV and AIDS and to EMPOWER those affected by HIV/AIDS to maximize their quality of life. We aim to provide LEADERSHIP and ADVOCACY in responding to the AIDS epidemic and apply the skills and lessons learned from the AIDS epidemic to other related areas of public health or concern.

Description:
Life Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to improving the quality of life of people affected by HIV/AIDS and those people living with HIV/AIDS. We provide free and confidential services which include: Case Management, Counseling, Support Groups, Food Programs, Health Advocacy and Treatment Education, Wellness Services, and Living Well Forums.

We are also committed to STOP the spread of HIV and AIDS and our prevention efforts include: HIV/AIDS educational presentations, Speakers Bureau of men and women living with HIV, Risk-reduction and skills-building workshops, Training for social service providers, Community outreach and one-to-one counseling, Educational literature and safer sex materials, and Anonymous HIV testing and counseling.

Volunteers are another vital element of Life Foundation. Without dedicated and sincere volunteers, Life Foundation could never meet the vast needs of clients, nor raise enough money to keep the organization alive.

History:
Founded by a handful of courageous volunteers in 1983, Life Foundation has evolved into the state's largest nonprofit AIDS service organization.
