To provide comprehensive physical, emotional, social, and spiritual care and support, thereby promoting the quality of life for people in Hawaii who face life-long illnesses and for their families. Patients and families are able to live the last moments of their lives together in comfortable, nurturing settings.

Description:
Anyone is eligible for Hospice Hawai‘i care. For those without insurance, Hospice Hawai‘i provides financial resources and support through its indigent care program and partnerships. Our objective is to provide a haven that permits the patient to live the remaining portion of their life in a home setting with their loved ones. In addition to home care, we also offer all the amenities of home in our Kailua and Palolo Valley facilities located on Oahu.

Along with providing quality care to the patients, Hospice Hawai‘i also provides focused care to the bereaved families to assist them in adjusting to the death of a loved one. Through an annual children and family bereavement camp, grief support groups, individual counseling, and spiritual guidance, Hospice Hawaii has created programs to care for those who are left to deal with the loss of a loved one.

History:
Established in 1979, Hospice Hawai‘i is a 501c3 non-profit Medicare certified organization that provides comprehensive hospice care to terminally ill patients and bereavement programs for their families on Molokai and Oahu.

Hospice Hawai‘i is transforming end-of-life care by getting patients hospice care sooner and by supporting their wishes to live the rest of their lives at home. We work to bring our philosophy of care, Na Hoa Malama, The Caring Friends, to the center of all we do.
