Our mission is to provide emergency assistance and morale to our troops, to the families they leave behind during deployment and the wounded warriors when they return home.
Description:
The goal at Operation Homefront is to secure continued financial support so military families that already sacrifice so much won't have to face financial emergencies alone. We serve every branch of the U.S. military including the National Guard and Reservists on active duty. We can provide assistance with car repair, emergency food, financial assistance, and that barely scratches the surface. We also provide morale boosts with care packages for our troops, computer donations for families so they can stay in touch with a deployed family member, phone cards, holiday baskets, and back to school backpacks for military children.
History:
Operation Homefront of Hawaii is new to the state, but not new to the country. We have 31 chapters assisting military families all over the United States. The Hawaii chapter just opened up shop in May of this year. Already we have provided over 120 backpacks to military children, donated over 500 phone cards to returning troops and wounded warriors, hosted a 9-11 remembrance walk with close to 1,000 participants and assisted a handful of military families in need of emergency resources.
