As Hawaii's only statewide child care resource & referral Agency, our mission at PATCH is to support and improve the quality and availability of care for young people in Hawaii.
Description:
We help parents take the guesswork out of choosing child care with referrals to local child care providers, information about state licensing requirements, the availability of child care subsidies, and other important child care information. We provide guidance by phone, in person and via the Internet to meet the needs of each family.
We are dedicated to educating parents and providers about early learning and informing communities about the links between early learning and later success in school.

History:
Formed in 1976 to provide child care resources and referrals to parents and caregivers, PATCH is one of many agencies which have evolved from a grassroots effort to have a well-developed system that offers support for parents, child care professionals and local communities in finding, planning for, and providing quality child care.
Today, as a member of the National Association of Child Care Resource and Referral Agencies (NACCRRA), PATCH maintains offices on Oahu, Kauai, Maui, East Hawaii and West Hawaii in order to serve all of Hawaii's communities.
